NE1410IS is built for players who keep their word. These standards — and the transparent reliability system behind them — are what keep matches competitive, dependable, and safe. We publish the scoring rules openly because players who understand the rules trust the system.
The three commitments
Show up. When you confirm a match, another player is counting on you. Honor it.
Play fair. Report your skill level and match scores honestly. Misrepresenting your rating to win easy matches undermines the whole community.
Be respectful. Treat every player with courtesy on and off the court. Harassment, discrimination, and intimidation have no place here.
How the reliability score works
Your reliability score is a trust signal shown to potential partners. It is transparent by design — here is exactly how it moves:
Everyone starts at 100. A new member is fully trusted from day one.
Showing up keeps you whole. Confirming a match and playing it maintains your score. Reliable players stay at or near 100.
A no-show costs 10 points. Failing to appear for a match you confirmed — without notice — is the most damaging action to the community and carries the steepest penalty.
Late cancellations cost less than no-shows.Cancelling with reasonable notice so your partner can re-book is far better than not showing, and is penalized more lightly.
The floor is 0; the ceiling is 100. Scores cannot go negative or exceed 100. Consistent reliability over time keeps you at the top.
Appeals — because emergencies happen
We reward honesty, not luck. A player who misses a match because of a genuine emergency — injury, illness, a family crisis — should not be punished the same as someone who simply did not show.
If your reliability score drops because of circumstances outside your control, you may appeal. Email [email protected] within 14 days of the affected match with a short explanation. We review every appeal individually and will restore points where the explanation is reasonable. There is no penalty for filing an appeal.
Fair competition
Matches are paired within a narrow skill band (±0.5 NTRP) so games stay close. Skill ratings are peer-verified after matches: if your reported level consistently mismatches your play, your rating will be adjusted so future matches are fair for everyone.
Safety
Meet at public courts, especially for a first match. Tell someone your plans. If a member makes you feel unsafe or behaves inappropriately, stop play and report them. We investigate every report and remove members who threaten the safety of the community.
Enforcement
Violations of these standards may result in a reliability penalty, a temporary suspension, or permanent removal, depending on severity. Our goal is always to protect the reliable majority who make this community work.
